The Kensett Comes to Darien — Downsizers Rejoice!

I had a tour of the new Kensett development being built on the Procaccini property here in Darien. For those who don't know, the property is on 15 acres of land off of Hoyt Street and Wakemore in the Holmes area.

I can tell you that I was not prepared for the size or extent of this new project. There will be over 60 luxury condo units on this site complete with meeting house, pool, gym and spa.

Kensett represents an entirely new lifestyle choice for the town of Darien. Sure, we have small condominium complexes but this will be a high end, full-on community.

The units are between 3,000 and 4,000 square feet with interiors by Lynn Morgan Designs. Two of the four layouts feature first floor master bedrooms, finished basments, large laundry rooms, kitchens and closets. The aesthetic includes very high end finishes and spaces. Prices start at $1.3 million.

There are a couple of models, but the site is still slightly dangerous going.
