Darien Home Sales Price, Sales Volume Up in Latest Stats

Darien's residential average sale price rose 8.2 percent and total sales volume gained 2.7 percent, according to the latest year-to-date statistics through July 31.

The new statistics from the Darien MLS also report on other major real estate categories, comparing January through June 2012 with the same period in 2013.

Results in other categories were:

-- Sales off by 5.0 percent, and
-- New listings down by 13.2 percent.
