New Car Seat for Wider Range of Children's Ages

A new child's car seat -- the Foonf from the manufacturer Clek -- is designed to be possibly the only one you'll need for children from six months onward, Jeffery HoSun Kim reports in today's Wired.

The new chair lets your child stay rear-facing until they weigh 50 pounds and measure 43 inches in height -- well beyond the norm for a two-year old, Kim wrote.

At age two, you can switch to a front-facing position until your child reaches 65 pounds or 49 inches, when he or she isn't so little anymore.
