Eleanor Ann Guerrieri, 78; of Greenwich Who Loved to Cook

She leaves her daughter, Lynn O'Malley of Darien. Calling hours are scheduled for Dec. 15, with the funeral to be held Monday, Dec. 16.


Eleanor Ann Guerrieri, of Greenwich, the mother of Lynn (Seamus) O'Malley of Darien, passed away the morning of Dec. 12, 2013. She was 78.

Born Oct. 19, 1935, she was a daughter of the late Dominick and Theresa Valerioti. 

Mrs. Guerrieri always attended her grandchildren sporting events where she was their number one fan. She also loved to cook and entertain not only her family but all of her wonderful friends and was an avid reader. Mrs. Guerrieri was a devoted wife, mother and grandmother who will be missed by all.

In addition to her daughter, Lynn, she is survived by her husband of 50 years Robert Guerrieri Sr.; her son Robert (Amy) Guerrieri of Greenwich, and seven grandchildren, Alexa, Blake, Harley and Logan Guerrieri of Greenwich, Michael and Sean O'Malley of Darien and Kaila O'Malley of Fairfield. Also surviving are her sister Jean Valerioti of Riverside and her brother Dominick (Kay) Valerioti of Rochester, NY.

She was predeceased by her brothers, George and Bill, and a sister Catherine.

Family and friends are invited to visit at the Castiglione Funeral Home, 134 Hamilton Ave., Greenwich from 4 to 7 p.m. Sunday, Dec. 15  A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 10 a.m. Monday, Dec. 16 at St. Catherine of Siena Church, 4 Riverside Ave., Riverside.
