Community Update

I believe these "shortfalls" could be avoided if our politicians left the money in the funds allocated instead of raiding the funds when another "pet project" comes along. They have been playing fast and loose with taxpayer money for too many years and it is time to stop and be accountable to the people who put them in office. This seems to be the way our government is now run. Social Security fund money was "borrowed?" when is it going to be paid back? The State of Connecticut has one of the highest gas taxes in the country (if not the highest) and look at the condition of our roads and bridges.  Where did that money go? Funding a highway that will probably get little if any use, just like the people mover at Bradley Int'l that was never used? Wake up people. It's your money they're squandering even though Harry Reid thinks it isn't.  It's time for accountability, folks.
