Moderator Training at the Library for the Nov 5 Election

Steve Anderson and Tom Foley of Phillips Lane and Lambros Papaeconomou of Mansfield Avenue completed their online poll-worker training class at the Darien Library Thursday night October 3.  This training is now available to Moderators who will work at our polls on election day, November 5th.  The program was developed by the Secretary of the State’s office to improve the election process throughout the state.  The training was done at the Darien Library in their Tech Room.  This facility has high speed internet lines, up-to-date computer software and the ability to train multiple people simultaneously.  The training covers the history of election laws, state and federal election requirements, and general procedures for dealing with the public under a wide range of circumstances.  Kathy Hammell and John Visi, the Registrars of Voters, can be reached at 203 656 7316.
