$50-60K in Tiffany Jewelry Taken in Daytime Burglary

A Linda Lane woman told police that she was in and out of her house all day Tuesday, then discovered that a box of Tiffany jewelry had been removed from a dresser drawer.

The jewelry inside was worth between $50,000 and $60,000, she told police.

At about 3 p.m., the woman's daughter noticed that the rear doors of the house were slightly opened, and the victim believed they previously had been locked. It wasn't until 5:45 p.m. that the woman found the top dresser drawer in her bedroom had been opened.

The woman also found that Several bracelets, not worth much, were missing from a closet. There was no ransacking of the residence, and electronics as well as a jar filled with money, in plain sight, were not taken, according to police.
