The couple then got into a Chevrolet Malibu with unknown Connecticut license plates and also occupied by two other males. The vehicle then drove off toward Old Kngs Highway South. The store had yet to complete a full inventory before Darien police released news of the incident, but the toiletries aisle appeared to be missing many items.

Both suspects were recorded by the store surveillance cameras. Police described one as a Hispanic male 5 feet, 4 inches to 5 feet, 7 inches in height, wearing a black skull cap, gray sweatshirt and a red and white shirt. The female was described as five feet, seven inches in height, with curly hair and wearing a black jacket with white stripes down the sleeves.
