Aunt Charged with Stealing Niece's Clothes

A woman told Darien police that she thought her aunt had stolen clothing from her, and the aunt then admitted it, police said.

Police gave this account (which is an accusation not proven in court):

On Thursday, July 18, police were told by the niece that clothing was missing from her suitcase while it was in a garage of a house on Hoyt Street.

Police questioned the aunt, Susan Fieber, 61, who initially denied she stole the clothing, then admitted that she had because she believed her niece had taken her computer keyboard

Fieber was charged with sixth-degree larceny and released on a promise to appear June 29 in state Superior Court in Stamford.
