Darien police arrested Nicholas Darcangelo, 34, of 39 Fitch Ave. on Friday, charging him with driving under the influence of alcohol.
Police gave this account of the incident:
Darcangelo was driving on the Post Road at about 12:47 a.m. Friday when a police officer noticed one of his headlights was out.
The officer stopped Darcangelo on the Post Road near the entrance to the southbound lanes of Exit 13 on Interstate 95.
Darcangelo failed field sobriety tests and was arrested. He posted a $250 bond and was released pending an Aug. 14 appearance in state Superior Court in Stamford.
