Dueling Pranks: Toilet Paper vs. Clear Plastic Wrap

What's the better prank: Toilet papering a motor vehicle or enveloping it in clear plastic wrap?

A Pear Tree Point Road mother who asked police to investigate after a car in her driveway was toilet papered Saturday probably didn't like what police found out.

Darien police gave this account (not proven in court) of the matter:

The woman's 18-year-old son said he suspected that sometime between about 11:45 p.m. Friday and 12:15 a.m. Saturday the deed was done by a girl he knew, a minor.

The motor vehicle was undamaged by the toilet paper caper.

Police went to the girl's home, where she admitted that she had perpetrated the toilet papering. The girl said she did so because last fall the young man had left her parent's car enfolded in clear plastic wrap (the type used in kitchens).

Both the young man and the girl were warned that further pranks could result in arrests, police said.
