DUI Charge for Woman, 26, on Mansfield Avenue

Police charged a woman with driving while under the influence after they saw her speeding and driving over the center line, according to police reports.

A 26-year-old woman was pulled over on Mansfield Avenue at 1 a.m. Monday after driving while under the influence, police said.

Darien police gave this account of the incident:

Bibiana Buritica of Stamford was driving a 2008 Toyota Solara north on Mansfield Avenue when a police officer saw she was going over the speed limit and twice crossed over the center line.

The officer stopped the vehicle on Mansfield Avenue near Royle Road. Buritica failed field sobriety tests and was arrested on charges of driving while under the influence and failure to drive completely on the right side of the road.

Buritica, of Stephen Street in Stamford, posted a $250 bond and was released pending a March 28 appearance in state Superior Court in Stamford.
