Fire Log: Alarm Triggered at Police Headquarters

Firefighters also responded to three carbon monoxide alarms last week.

The following information was provided by the Office of the Fire Marshal:

Monday, Aug. 30

SERVICE CALL: The Darien Fire Department, Noroton Fire Department, and Noroton Heights Fire Department responded to a gas leak around 12:21 p.m. at 15 Highview Rd.

SMOKE SCARE: Around 8:18 p.m., the Noroton Heights Fire Department responded to a smoke scare at 3 Fairfield Ave. Firefighters determined the source of the smoke to be an outdoor fireplace in the neighborhood.

MOTOR VEHICLE ACCIDENT/INJURY: The Noroton Heights Fire Department was called to the scene of a Motor Vehicle Accident/Injury at I-95 south exit 10 around 11:18 a.m.

MOTOR VEHICLE ACCIDENT/INJURY: Around 2:56 p.m., the Darien Fire Department went to to a motor vehicle accident/injury at Leroy Avenue and Sedgwick Avenue.

ALARM ACTIVATION: Around 9:38 p.m., an alarm triggered by a generator brought the Noroton Heights Fire Department to Darien Police Headquarters (25 Hecker Ave.).

Wednesday, Sept. 1

MOTOR VEHICLE ACCIDENT/INJURY: The Darien Fire Department responded to a motor vehicle accident/injury at Post Road and West Norwalk Road around 3:58 a.m.

CARBON MONOXIDE ALARM: A carbon monoxide alarm brought the Darien Fire Department to 16 East Trl. around 7:09 p.m.

Thursday, Sept. 2

CARBON MONOXIDE ALARMS: At 6:13 p.m. and 6:56 p.m., the Noroton Fire Department responded to two separate carbon monoxide alarms at 14 Weeds Landing. The cause of both was determined to be a sewer line backup.

Sunday, Sept. 5

MOTOR VEHICLE ACCIDENT/INJURY: The Darien Fire Department was called to the scene of a motor vehicle accident/injury at I-95 North exit 13 around 8:53 p.m.
