Man Arrested Twice for New Years Card, Texts Sent to Darien Woman

The victim had filed a protective order against the Bridgeport man after a domestic incident in 2012.

A Bridgeport man was arrested twice at the same time after turning himself in on charges that he violated a protective order filed against him by a Darien woman, according to authorities.

Police said a protective order filed against Laszlo Urszenyi, 45, of Cartright St. in Bridgeport, stemming from a December 2012 domestic violence arrest that occurred in Bridgeport stipulated he was to have no contact with the female victim, who now lives in Darien.

The victim reported to police that she had received text messages and a New Years card from Urszenyi on and around January 7, 2013, which constituted a violation of the order, police said. A warrant was issued on Jan. 9th.

A second complaint was received on the same day the warrant was issued claiming Urszenyi had been sending her Facebook messages. When Urszenyi was contacted by police in regards to the incident, he agreed to turn himself in at police headquarters.

Upon arrival to the station later that same day, he was processed for both arrests. Urszenyi was charged with two counts violation of a protective order and released after posting a $10,000 bond. He was set to appear in court Jan. 10.
