In November of 2013 the Darien Police Department investigated a residential burglary on West Ave. in which an excess of $20,000 of gold jewelry and coins was taken.
Through investigation it has been determined that Dirk C. Lloyd, [36 years old] of 68 Melrose Ave. Bridgeport, is the suspect in this burglary. The Darien Police Department has since secured an arrest warrant for Lloyd for Burglary 3rd Degree and Larceny 1st Degree.

The Darien Police Detective Division executed a
search warrant on Lloyd’s residence in Bridgeport and recovered evidence
tying him to other burglaries in Fairfield County.
Two other local police departments will also be applying for arrest warrants for Lloyd for similar charges. It is unknown at this time when Lloyd’s extradition to Connecticut will take place.
