Police: Avoid Post Road in Downtown Darien Until 3:30 PM

Several traffic lights will be shut off for construction work.

Darien Police are advising drivers to avoid Post Road in downtown Darien through 3:30 p.m. Wednesday due to "significant" construction work on the railroad overpass.

Traffic lights at Post Road and Center Street, Post Road and Tokeneke Avenue, and Post Road and West Avenue will be shut off during that stretch, police said.

Officers and traffic agents will direct traffic while the lights are off, but delays and congestion are possible.
