Stamford Advocate: Woman Arrested for Pinching Pocketbooks

Police arrest a New Canaan woman who allegedly stole items from pocketbooks during local funeral services.

A 48-year-old New Canaan woman, alleged to have taken items from women's purses during funeral and church services, was arrested Thursday, police said. Diane Seeley's arrest comes after police in Darien, Norwalk and New Canaan reported a series of similar larcenies in mid October.
