Vandals Spray-Paint Darien High School Outside Cafeteria

Unimaginative vandals create a childish nuisance at Darien High School.

Rude remarks about Darien High School officials were spray-painted in orange and purple on the school's outside walls, windows and doors by the school cafeteria sometime before 6 a.m., Sunday.

"Class o' 14" and "Legacy" were among the few messages that didn't involve swear words or insults, most of which referred to the school's assistant principals.

The police report which quoted the graffiti had no examples of any wit or humor among the spray-painted comments.

The custodian who reported the incident estimated the clean-up costs at $250, and most of the graffiti was cleaned up by mid-day Monday.
