In his latest blog entry, Chairman of the Metro-North Commuter Council and RTM Member, Jim Cameron, discusses how the state budget will affect commuters. The widely criticized spending plan, enacted last week, includes a $15.8 million cut to rail and bus subsidies from 2009 to 2011, which is likely to reduce Metro North service and increase fares.
