Letter: McCormick Congratulates 3 Elected to Board of Education
Patty McCormick, one of two Democratic candidates for the Darien Board of Education in last Tuesday's election, congratulates the candidates who won the three available seats on the board.
To the Editor:
I would like to congratulate Katie Stein, Betsy Haggerty-Ross and Sarah Zuro-Schneider on their recent election to the Board of Education. It was wonderful to give our community a choice in this election and in turn educate our children on how the process of democracy works.
I would like to take this opportunity to thank the DTC for nominating me and for supporting my run. In particular I would like to thank some key people whose support for me was invaluable. A huge thank you to Callie Sullivan, Shannon Silsby, MariLu Cleary, Shawn St Jean, Marc Thorne, Enid Oresman, Katie Stein, Betsey Keeley and finally, Robby Werner and Randy & Evonne Klein. I couldn’t have done it without you all.
