Selectmen Agenda: Building Official, Intervale Sewer, Tennis Bonds

The Darien Board of Selectmen meets Monday, April 29, with the public session beginning at 7:45 p.m. in Room 206, Town Hall. These documents are in the selectmens’ packet:

Agenda — It’s relatively short, this time.

Motion to hire a new Building Official — The term would last four years, from May 1, 2013 to April 30, 2017.

Resolution to issue a $1.5 million bond for the Intervale Road sewer improvement project — The project would increase the existing sewer main with a larger pipe and make other improvements designed to increase the capacity of the drainage system in the neighborhood.

Resolution to issue a $460,000 bond for improvements to Weed Beach Tennis Courts — The project would restore tennis courts 1 through 6, which were damaged by recent storms.

In releasing the packet, the First Selectman's Office also issued the following statement about it:

"The material and information contained herein are working documents. In some instances these documents are in draft form.  They are all subject to further discussion, modification or rejection by the Board of Selectmen."
