Veggiecation, Whole Foods Kids' Culinary Class

Lisa Suriano, founder and creator of the Veggiecation Program (www.veggiecation.com), and Whole Foods Market in Darien, CT are keeping kids busy this summer with kids’ culinary class on June 26.  Class starts at 4pm.

Using fresh summer fruits and veggies, kids will prepare Spinach and Orange Salad with Honey Vinaigrette and Black Bean Dip.

As practiced in participating classrooms throughout the country, kids will be invited to help prepare Veggiecation Program’s recipes, sample Veggiecation Program’s culinary creations, experience vegetables in their raw form and cast a vote on how they liked the recipes in the Veggiecation Ballot Boxes.

Kids will take home complimentary Veggiecation character coloring pages, word games, mazes and stickers.  Parents will receive a copy of Veggiecation Program's recipes created that day.

A curriculum based nutrition education concept, Veggiecation Program’s success with kids lies in the engaging activities that empower children with their food choices while demonstrating that eating vegetables is fun and delicious.
