New Dates for Superintendent Search Focus Groups

Want to make your opinion known on what qualities the Darien school district should look for in the next superintendent of schools? Focus group meetings start Wednesday.

Heather Shea, chair of the superintendent search committee for the Board of Education (BOE), sent out this announcement on Friday about new days and times for focus groups to meet as part of the search process:

Public Officials are invited to attend a rescheduled focus group on Wednesday, Feb. 12 at 5:45 p.m; Community members are invited to attend on Wednesday, February 12th at 7:00p.m.

Parents are encouraged to attend the Wednesday session at 7 p.m. or a separate Parent Focus Group on Wednesday, Feb. 26 at 11 a.m. In addition, we will hold a separate Focus Group for Parents with special needs students on Wednesday, Feb. 12 at 11 a.m.

All focus groups will be held in the Board of Education Meeting Room at 35 Leroy Avenue. For those who cannot attend one of the scheduled focus groups or prefer to provide written input, please direct your comments to:
