UPDATES
• Youth soccer: The Darien U-14 boys Blue team competed in the Fairfield Fast Tournament over Labor Day Weekend and defended its title as the tournament champions of the top bracket for its age division.
The team was unbeaten and only conceded one goal in four games due to strong goaltending from Nick Murphy and Liam Rischmann and solid defensive play by Alex Berardino, Matthew Drake, Christopher Drake, Sean Edgar, and Bobby Osborne.

Darien scored six goals from forwards Seth Canaday, Rhys Evershed, Kevin Klarer, and Jack Kniffin. Midfielders Owen Evershed, Army Noonan, Billy Platt, Connor Rebello, Felix Rooney, and Robbie Steeves worked well in extremely hot conditions to create many scoring opportunities.
The new players settled in well and the team, coached by Alan Marsh and Nick Evershed, is now looking forward to the fall season.
