Blue Wave Softball Blanked Again

Darien drops its second straight with a 5-0 loss at St. Joseph.

The Darien High School softball dropped its second straight game Wednesday, falling 5-0 to St. Joseph in Trumbull.

The Cadettes' Micki Keltos tossed a three-hitter, as the Blue Wave were blanked for the second time in as many days.

On Tuesday, Darien (10-2) was shut out by Ridgefield, 1-0, ending a record-setting 10 game streak for the program to start off the season.

Jessica DeMaio struck out six for the Blue Wave, but she had trouble against Cristy Babis, who did most of the damage for St. Joseph with a double, triple, and three RBIs.

Darien looks to snap its two-game losing streak at McMahon on Thursday (4:00 p.m.), the third straight day of play for the team.
