Norwalk River Rowing 'Ergathon' at Darien Sport Shop

Norwalk River Rowing Association’s racing team is hosting a rowing marathon at the Darien Sport Shop to raise money for Matthew Zucker Fund.

The Matthew Zucker Fund was established by Barbara and Mark Zucker in memory of their son Matthew, an avid rower and NRRA athlete, who lost his battle with brain cancer in 1998.  The fund enables NRRA to fulfill its unique mission of providing scholarships to young people who otherwise could not afford to row.

For the past 13 years NRRA young athletes have raised money for the fund by means of an ‘Ergathon’—each of them attempting to row ten kilometers on their ERG machines and receive pledges and donations for their efforts.  Please come by and support the rowers in this very worthwhile cause.
