Why is this Call Special?

In April of 2012, I requested, under the CT FOI Law, information regarding a call for paramedics to respond to an address in Noroton Heights. In an email dated 4/5/12, Town Administrator Karl Kilduff responded to First Selectman Jayme Stevenson: "It would be nice to know why this call is important. There is likely no reason to deny the request. Since it will be used to reflect poorly on the Post and the EMS Committee. We should know what makes this call so special." What made this call so special was that it involved a death. For whatever reason, the nearby SEMS unit 202 in Glenbrook was not able to respond. Instead, a SEMS unit from deeper in Stamford responded. I don't know if the delay contributed to the death. I did receive the Incident Report from my FOI request and, separately, reviewed the death certificate at Town Hall. How many more of these are there? Stay tuned. Walter Casey.
